  1. The Matrix mentioned as an explanation + “So, we got a material world…” = Imminent woo woo

  2. @johntkooz so true. I am an American who lives outside of the USA. It should be obligatory to leave the US for an extended period of time, to reduce the delusions of grandeur. I’m leaving the USA shortly again for 6 mos, and cannot wait to go go go go go go.

  3. Being skeptical is an important function of inquiring into ourselves and our world. But when skepticism is deluded with fear. It brings about ignorance (ignoring reality). Derren seeks to disprove since the idea of “seeing” in a new way threatens his ego (system of knowledge). He is a scientist that thinks he already knows, thus, no scientist at all. Truth is something experienced in a fleeting moment throughout infinity.

  4. Derren Brown is a skeptic –but laded with negative predetermined beliefs. This state of being “skeptical” is like a filter on the minds perceptual functions. Basically your state of being creates your reality. If you are paranoid–you are confounded by anxiety and fear caused by certain mind concoctions. A paranoid will go into a room full of smiling faces and see faces laughing at him–threatening his state of well-being. Derren and his viewers are skeptics and enjoy being so.

  7. The clicking method is a great way to go around bout.

  8. @johntkooz Completely agree with you. Not everyone is deluded, but as an American myself–one that’s unfortunately living in the Southern U.S. but hopefully I will be able to move soon–I can say that many Americans are easily manipulated by fear and emotion. Which is why politicians go to such extreme efforts to sling mud.

  9. @thenovicenovelist I doubt it would do much good…the u.s. is full of some of the most deluded people IN THE WORLD.

  10. @NoWitnessesNoRegrets I always hate to resort to violence but these creeps… Let’s just say I do hope I never meet one of them.

  18. @TheSpankymonkey LOL! Don’t worry, even with Derren Brown there will still be plenty of laughs. After all, we have an upcoming general election this November and a presidential election in 2012. I miss my England though.
