  2. Another profound video. How wonderful to see that EFT can help heal trauma. You see so calm and peaceful, such a beautiful soul, I would never have guessed you had difficulties, but I think we all do in some way. My father was very irresponsible & immature, & I tend to attract guys with the same emotional patterns. Yet I am mature & responsible.     It does it to say in alignment with what you hold to be true in the world and you love them who did it to you as well. The warning are still there to tell you that you are in the right situation to feel the feelings you know.

    It automatically defaults to what you hold within because which has the most emotional support wins…pain, hurt, love or joy.

    Your experiences again was building your skills to be disappointed and even projecting it. But you can over write it with effort in some areas but the pain is still driving the behavior to not do it which means it is still there in other ways.

    The way to get better is to release the negative, harmful, or painful memories because your unconscious mind will work to keep you in alignment with them. When you are trying to break the rules of your past you will find big resistance. You are not suppose to break out from your recorded pains. It is not wise or safe because it has proof.

    You learn to survive within your environment. This is your world the emotional experiences go in and you operate from them. They changed your diapers, fed you, loved you in their own way good or bad. You then have this pattern of how the world is and you’ll stay in alignment with it without consciously thinking about it.

  22. 6. Lastly, why would the unconcious draw you to people to play this particular negative program? Myself if I had an experience where something negative happened with someone – as far as I can tell, my unconcious warns me when I meet people who appear even remotely similar, and flashes warning signals to stay away. Is it just me?

  23. 5. So even though it didn’t work that way for you, wouldn’t you have installed the desired alternative as the way you would act to your children in that situation? Or are you saying that the unconcious will automatically default to the example you learned from your father.

  24. 4. I think for myself as I was growing up, when I had issues of disappointment or let down with how I expected my father to act, I made note of it so that I could do better for my children.

    And from your example it seemed the same. You were in the tree, and you expected your father to be the hero… he wasn’t, BUT you knew how you’d have liked the siutation to be.

  25. 3. From my own life, with my own father, I believe this is what I’ve done. I’ve realized the inadequacy of following his example, and looked for better ones.

    I’m just trying to understand the reasoning behind why the unconscious would model something that doesn’t work – unless there are absolutely no other examples to follow. But even then, the imagination can still create better examples – no?
