5 Minute Guided Meditation to Help You Crush Your Law School Finals (Harmon’s LAW)

The volume is low, so you may have to turn up your speakers… I recorded this short (5 minute) guided meditation for my legal writing students who are getting ready for their first semester 1L finals. The language used in the guided meditation is not law school-specific. so it could be used by anyone needing perspective on an upcoming challenge. It begins with breathing and centering, then incorporates subtle hypnosis and NLP techniques to help the listener step back and see the challenge without stress or fear. The meditation concludes by anchoring the breath to an affirmation of focus, clarity, and peace, which the listener can trigger again with three deep breaths immediately before beginning their challenge. In the background you can hear the faint twang of a tamboura, which continues for a couple of minutes after the meditation is finished. The script was modeled on the guided meditation my wife does at the beginning of her yoga classes. The mandala pictured in the video is the Kalachakra Thangka painted in Sera Monastery, Tibet.
